#RUNNINGDRY IS NOW A MOVEMENT
If you’ve been following me on Instagram / Facebook / Twitter, you’ll know that Marathon 62 was momentous. It ended with tears thanks to the multiple stress fractures in my right femur. I was told that if I continued running (or walking) on my leg, I would never run again. That if I didn’t take a break, I would break.

But how could I even consider giving up, when this journey is all about showing 100% commitment to the global water crisis? I’ll tell you how: by accepting that the purpose of this campaign is bigger than running and bigger than me.
As soon as I posted the pics of me in excruciating pain, offers of support came flooding in - people saying that they would gladly run a marathon or log some kilometres for the #RunningDry movement. And that’s when I realised that this is no longer just a campaign. This is no longer just me and my team trying to spread the message of the global water crisis. It’s a movement made up of people like you, who are reading this and donating kilometres to the cause: helping me to log a marathon a day for 100 days.

We’ve put together a page with all you need to know about how to join the #RunningDry movement and what exactly to do so we can track your kilometres. Thank you - thank you so much.
As for me, I’m continuing on the journey, meeting water heroes and telling stories of people in water crisis areas around the world. I’m doing rehab every day and I am determined to finish on my feet.
