World Water run ‘22
Marathon #1 kicks off as the world runs for water
We kicked off World Water Day 2022 with The World Water Run. At the same time, Mina ran the first of 200 marathons at Uluru, the heart of Australia.
The World Water Run aimed to create excitement, enthusiasm and energy as one of Run Blue’s major campaign moments. Content was built around the theme of groundwater and innovation, supporting the concept that we all have a role in solving the global water crisis. Empowering the community was key, as was connecting them to both local water issues and to the global Run Blue campaign.
With an emphasis on corporate involvement, Thirst trialed custom landing pages for corporate partners, including for Run Blue partner Bayer and for Starbucks, who built water towers as part of an employee engagement activity. With our largest number of participants to-date, Run Blue also focused on youth with many school-aged children stepping up to lead their communities.
