World Wetlands Run
Education for Protection
Run Blue’s first activation of 2022 was a new concept. The World Wetlands Run started on World Wetlands Day and was held in collaboration with WWF, Ramsar, Wetlands International, International Water Management Institute, and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust.
This activation focused on education and awareness and delivered on community depth and breadth. The passion of the activation’s most enthusiastic supporters was soon matched by the community as people around the world learned about wetlands and why we need to take action to protect them. The World Wetlands Run provided an opportunity to connect local wetlands to larger issues and featured participants from 173 countries and territories – Run Blue’s most diverse activation at the time.
